Victor Hernandez is the former executive editor at Crosscut and KCTS 9 (2018-2021). He is an award-winning newsroom leader and strategist with a passion for managing teams, developing and refining content strategies and growing audiences. He has previously worked at CNN, NBC, University of Missouri School of Journalism and technology startup Banjo.
He currently serves on the national board of directors for the Society of Professional Journalists and is a member of the Online News Association and National Association of Hispanic Journalists. He is a frequent speaker and trainer at national and international journalism conferences and serves as visiting faculty at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. He has a degree in Mass Communication & Journalism from California State University, Fresno, originally hailing from California's Central Valley.
