Starla Sampaco formerly anchored daily news segments on KCTS 9 as the host of Crosscut Now. Before joining Crosscut, Starla worked as a legislative reporter for TVW and later covered technology as a host/producer for GeekWire. Outside of Cascade Public Media, Starla founded Career Survival Guide, which offers corporate workshops, consulting, and career resources geared towards women and professionals of color. She also teaches graduate students as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Washington’s Communication Leadership master’s program, where she developed a course on career strategy, professional visibility, and self-advocacy in the workplace.
