Rachel Sun is a Health Care Reporting Fellow for Northwest Public Broadcasting. She grew up on the Palouse and is a Washington State University alumna. Her first introduction to public radio was listening to it with her father, often over breakfast or on summer afternoons while helping with outdoor projects.
Before coming to NWPB, Rachel was a city, schools and general assignment reporter for the Bonner County Daily Bee in Sandpoint, Idaho, and previously served in reporter, photographer and editorial positions at WSU’s student newspaper, The Daily Evergreen.
In her free time, Rachel likes to roller skate, paint, draw, cook, listen to podcasts and write creative short stories.
