Since last week, we’ve had reporters and editors look the questions over and adjust a few to fit our newsroom resources (some are verbatim, some are rewritten or combined with similar questions). Below is a list of 11 ideas for you to vote on — which one are you most interested in Crosscut reporting out this year?
Your votes will give us a sense of timing, urgency and magnitude for when and how these stories get told. But don’t worry if a story you’re interested in isn’t a top vote-getter, we’ll still be writing, podcasting and filming on many of these topics in the future.
After reading your submissions, news editor Donna Blankinship wrote to me: “[Our readers] are zeroing in on some of the most important questions right now. Our reporters are already working on stories that will answer some of these questions. Others were already on my list to assign but now I have a bunch more to consider.”
And keep your ideas coming! If this voting round gets an enthusiastic response from all of you, we’ll do more of them.
Check out the options below (listed in no particular order) then head to our Northwest Wonders ballot below to vote for the story you most want to see this year.
