Patrick Radden Keefe is an award-winning staff writer at The New Yorker and author of the New York Times bestsellers Say Nothing, Empire of Pain, and Rogues. His work has been recognized with the National Magazine Award, the National Book Critics’ Circle Award and the Orwell Prize for Political Writing. He is also the creator and host of Wind of Change, an investigative podcast about the bizarre convergence of Cold War espionage and heavy metal music, which The Guardian and Entertainment Weekly named the #1 podcast of 2020. Radden Keefe served as executive producer on the Netflix series Painkiller about the Sackler family, and on Say Nothing, based on his book, which will premiere on Hulu this summer.

About the Festival

The Cascade PBS Ideas Festival brings together journalists, newsmakers, and innovators from around the country to talk about the issues that are animating our cultural conversations. The festival includes live recordings of television and podcasts from The Atlantic, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Slate, Pushkin, NPR and PBS; as well as community meetups, meet-and-greets, food trucks, DJs, and more.
