Based in Olympia, Joseph O'Sullivan is Crosscut's state government and politics reporter, covering the Legislature, the governor's office, state agencies, election campaigns and more. Prior to joining Crosscut in 2022, he spent almost eight years covering the statehouse for The Seattle Times. He has also covered local, state and federal politics and government at newspapers in South Dakota, Wyoming and Spokane.
