Joni Balter is a guest at Crosscut Festival 2022. She is a multimedia journalist and lecturer at Seattle University, Evans Graduate School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington. For many years, Balter worked as an editorial writer and columnist at the Seattle Times. At this year's festival, Balter will have a virtual sit down with Ann Davison, Seattle’s new city attorney — a Republican who ran on a law-and-order platform — about her strategy to bring public safety under control.
