The Atlantic presents RADIO ATLANTIC: Artificial Intelligence as a Chaos Agent in Elections

Crosscut Festival 2024
Sat May 4, 2024 | 5:15pm

The Atlantic has long been known as an ideas-driven magazine. Radio Atlantic brings that same ethos to audio. This year two events will collide: AI voice replicas accurate enough to fool your best friend will be easier than ever to use; and half the world’s population will undergo an election. Hanna Rosin, host of Radio Atlantic, and Charlie Warzel, an Atlantic staff writer covering technology, discuss AI's potential to harass, commit fraud and sow political discord. And the fun part: We’ll have some special AI guests to discuss it too.
