The soon-to-be Dr. Benasutti is working on completing her biochemistry dissertation in the Chamberlain Lab at the University of Washington. Her research focuses on the development of gene therapies for Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy type R9. Halli’s interests outside of academia primarily revolve around outdoor adventure and exploration, to which the Pacific Northwest lends itself nicely.
