The local football teams may be on a bit of a roll. But you couldn't tell it from the betting lines this week.

The Seahawks have a suddenly lively quarterback, but a long October ahead of them. The Huskies get a needed week off, but are looking full of speed, smarts, and intensity.

Keith Price is playing like he could be one of the UW's best quaterbacks ever. Matt Hasselbeck stars in front of a national TV audience, but T-Jack does OK, too.

The book was terrific, but I found myself wondering if other viewers were enjoying the movie the way I was. 

The day began with all the major local teams, save the Sounders, having lost their last game, or more. But the Seahawks showed what it means to be "appalling."
