Chick Corea Trio: Sixteen-time Grammy Award winner and keyboard virtuoso Chick Corea has been playing at an unparalleled level for the past four decades. More impressive than his award count is the sheer creativity he has brought to the scene, contributing to bebop, fusion, avant-garde, and, yes, even children’s songs. Playing alongside him will be two well-respected musicians, drummer Brian Blade and bassist Hans Glawishnig. A must see.

Frank Close: Inside the Large Hadron Collider: Join renowned Oxford physicist Frank Close as he talks about the past and the possibilities of the Large Hadron Collider. Built in 2008, the multi-billion dollar machine was designed to probe the mysteries of the universe and to discover the elusive Higgs boson, a particle thought to be responsible for the universe's expansion. For those curious about the unknown, this should be worth going to.

Elite Squad: The Enemy Within: With 18 awards under its belt, Brazil’s official entry for the Academy Awards has made its way to Seattle. The second of director Jose Padilha’s series, the film follows Captain Nascimento of the Special Police Operations Batallion, who oversees the dangerous slums of Rio de Janeiro. As the film unfolds, however, the protagonist finds the real enemy isn’t so much the gangs roaming the streets, but rather the corrupt politicians and cops whose side he is on.

zoe|juniper: A Crack in Everything: After traveling all over the world, doing residencies in New Zealand and Hungary, local choreographer Zoe Scofield and artist Juniper Shuey are back in their hometown of Seattle. This weekend, they present the culmination of all their work, “A Crack in Everything,” which examines the gap between cause and effect through dramatic video and costumes, atmospheric installations and lighting.
