A new survey says the incumbent is barely ahead of a challenger who has done virtually no advertising.

A new SurveyUSA poll shows Adam Smith barely ahead of Republican Dick Muri, 49% to 46%.

All evidence shows this race is close.  This is the second poll showing Smith with only a 3% lead, and the Smith campaign is attacking Muri, a sure sign they think the race is in doubt.

Dick Muri, a Pierce County Council member, has raised very little money and done virtually no advertising.  If Adam Smith is in trouble, then every suburban Democrat is in danger. Just like 1994.
