Did you know that you can walk from Seattle to Snoqualmie? It takes two or three days to travel the 35 miles along the King County Regional Trail System, through urban and rural neighborhoods, and wow, what a big backyard adventure! It's called The Long Walk, and it starts in Seattle on Friday, July 23, ending at Snoqualmie Falls that Sunday.

Along the way there's camping in unlikely city parks, cooling dips in the Tolt River, and watching art films under the stars. There's even a 'ꀜformal'ꀝ dinner at Tolt-MacDonald Park.

"An unscripted encounter with a place we think we already know," is how artist Susan Robb describes it.

A support van will carry camping gear and related items, freeing the 40 participants to experience the trails and the art along the way. Via Tribunali, a sponsor of the walk, will provide pizzas along the way.

As it happens, the event is already sold out, but you can find a waiting list and follow along by clicking here.
